About Us
Geelong region’s premier Entertainment website entertainmentgeelong.com was launched January 21, 2008, by editor Colin Mockett with a team of entertainment industry friends. At the time we had three main aims.
First, we wanted to provide Geelong's theatre, music, festival and concert audiences - and our region's visitors - with a comprehensive, all-inclusive, instant and ever-ready guide to the wonderful range of live entertainment staged in our region. We aimed to display this in a clean, clear concise manner on a site that was simple and easy to use.
Second, our aim was to create a site that would assist our theatre and music groups - there are more than 30 theatre and 50 musical groups in our region - with promotion, news and reviews.
And third, by publishing a full-year diary, to help our theatre groups and companies plan their events avoiding date clashes and bottlenecks.
